Dear friends of democracy, Here is something concrete from Prof. Robert Reich. (5 practical next steps you can take) I have referred to Robert Reich often since the last election. He and Heather Cox Richardson have become, in my mind, two of the most constructive and insightful voices of reason and resistance to the madness that is unfolding in America. Don't despair. Get active. This is the moment to affirm, that democracy is worth fighting for. "Democracy is not a spectator sport" Robert Reich was US Minister of Labor under President Bill Clinton. He is a lawyer, politician, educator and author of several books on politics and economics. Since 2006 he has been Chancelor's Professor of Public Policy at the Goldman School of Public Policy UC Berkeley. Here is his personal Website (https://rbreich.com/). There you can access his various writings and videos. Among them, I highly recommend viewing his 14 part UC Berlkley course on "Wealth and Poverty" which delves into why inequalities of income and wealth have widened significantly since the late 1970s in the United States, and why this poses dangerous risks to our society.
